What can I say? It is HOT.

February 25, 2015

It is awhile since I have blogged.  I will go back about a week.
Last Thursday Bob's daughter Holly and husband Clayton arrived for a week's vacation.  They are staying at a resort in Ixtapa...they are loving it.
On Saturday they came to Zihua and we took the boat over to Isla Ixtapa...their hotel has a view of the island.  While Clayton and Bob went diving off the boat, Holly and I sunned ourselves.  Holly does not feel the heat (just like her dear old Dad) whereas I suffer.  After an hour or so we all jumped in the dinghy (tight fit for 4) and went to have lunch.  Holly and Clayton had drinks served in pineapples ...very beautiful.  All I can say about the food was that it was there...yucky food but we were not sick from it!!
Saturday night turned into a lot of rolling motion on the boat so we headed back to Zihua early.  Across from where we normally anchor is a lovely beach called Playa La Ropa.  The view from the boat was lovely...cleaner water than at the municipal beach but we rolled even worse..much worse than at Isla Ixtapa.  All of us got very little sleep.
Early Monday morning Bob cleaned the bottom of the boat and replaced the zinc...then we left for our former anchoring spot.  No rolling...wonderful!!
On Monday we met Holly and Clayton to spend the afternoon with them.  The afternoon was spent at a restaurant called La Perla.  Looking out from the beach to the bay was much nicer than the reverse!
Excellent food and we all enjoyed our meals.
It was a hot day and we were stuck in traffic on our  way back.  Both Patches and I were suffering greatly from the heat.  On the boat, a lot of water was consumed and  we all had an early night and a great sleep.
Yesterday was the hottest day that I have experienced in a long time.  It was 34C but the humidity was low....a saving grace.  The heat exhausts me and I find I can fall asleep even when the temperature is still 29C.  Last night it stayed at 29C until about 4 am.  Today we are only at 29C at the heat of the day.  How I long for my cool Patzcuaro home!!
No photos I am afraid as Bob forgot his camera and I forgot to remind him!!
